WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. This video gives a brief introduction of 5 new features of Whatsapp.
The first one is “disappearing messages”, which allows the user to set a time period that the messages can exist for. Similar to Snapchat, the messages will last for a short time to protect your privacy, especially for confidential information. New wallpaper provides diverse options, and “WhatsApp pay” store credit cards to make a mobile payment. Another annoying thing is that WhatsApp automatically downloads new photos and videos that are sent to you, which causes a storage problem. With the new function “storage management tool”, users can easily select and delete the information disliked. Lastly, “messenger rooms” is for setting up a video group with your friends.
Although it’s good to see the new changes on WhatsApp, these new functions have been in other messaging apps for so long, like Telegram, Wechat and iMessage. It seems that WhatsApp is busy running after other messaging apps and lack innovation.

This is an advertisement for a personalized golf training tool called CTRL. The trainer wears the oversleeve with two sensors, one near the wrist and the other one on the forearm. It connects with an application on a mobile phone which works as a feedback session. The series of tools will record the trainer’s clubface, club path, tempo ratio, backswing and downswing. For clubface, the application provides data visualization to indicate how to hit the golf ball. The statistics are saved and analysed as visualized charts. In all, the video introduces an interesting device that applies wearable technology to sports training and gives instructional advice.
